Ripped Art Task Force Seeks Volunteers
By Jonathan Bailey • Aug 7th, 2007 • Category: Articles, NewsDeviantArt’s Ripped Art Task Force, previously covered on this site, is seeking volunteers to help process reported rips.
The group, which has already become one of the most successful grass-roots anti-plagiarism forces, is receiving more cases than it can effectively process.
The group needs volunteers, especially ones very familiar with the deviantArt community, that can help search for and identify stolen works. If you read this site regularly and are active in deviantArt, you more than likely have plenty of knowledge to help.
Anyone interested in volunteering should send a note to either Deb or Anita expressing your willingness to help out.
Even if you only have a few hours per week to dedicate to this, it could be a major asset to the team. Please consider helping if you can.

I’m sure if they focused on Youtube alone, they would fine tons of stuff. Are they looking specifically for deviant art stuff though on those sites, or any copyrighted stuff?
They are looking specifically for content taken from dA members wherever it may appear. So, for example, if an eBay user sells prints of a dA member’s work, they’d take an interest in that.
Hope that helps!
