Housekeeping: Comment Approval
By Jonathan Bailey • Dec 5th, 2005 • Category: HousekeepingI’ve installed a new plugin for my WordPress install to, hopefully, better filter out comment spam. As such, for the time being at least, I’ve removed the requirement that all new comments be approved before posting.
Before today, if you did not have a previously approved comment, your comment would be held in a queue pending approval. This would delay comment posting, often times for hours. I understand how frustrating that was, especially given the timely nature of blogs in general, and am happy to see it gone.
Please note that all inappropriately comments, including personal attacks, any spam that trickles through and anything obscene or vulgar will be removed.
Thank you for your cooperation and I hope you enjoy (and take advantage of) the faster commenting.
