Copyright 2.0 Show – Episode 310 – YouTube Copyright-Apocalypse

It is Friday Monday again and that means that it is time for another episode of the Copyright 2.0 Show.

I’ve you’ve been anywhere near YouTube over the past week, you know exactly what this week’s top story is. YouTube, it seems is in the midst of a copyright apocalypse. But is all as it seems or is there are more plausible explanation for what’s going on?

However, that’s hardly the only place thrown into copyright chaos this week. The City of London Police launched an attack on suspected pirate sites, The Beastie Boys continue their saga with GoldieBlox and Kim Dotcom’s lawyers object to the U.S. government turning over evidence against him to copyright holders.

We also have international news this week as a “Court error” causes thousands of RedTube users to get copyright threats, Norway is launching a mass-digitization plan and a potential review of EU copyright law.
