Announcing New DMCA Takedown Form & Service
Through my consulting firm CopyByte, I provide a wide variety of assistance with copyright and plagiarism matters, including the filing of Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notices to get infringing works removed from the Web.
I’ve sent thousands of notices, almost exclusively to hosts, and have taken down countless scrapers, image thieves, plagiarists and spammers. It’s truly a rewarding job.
Over the past two months I’ve been working on a new DMCA form that streamlines the collection of information for effective processing of takedown notices. I intended this form for people who just want to file a small number of notices, and I worked hard to make sure it was the easiest and most cost-effective way to request a single DMCA takedown.
Today I’m pushing that form live.
The form has the following features:
- Send notices to up to 5 domains.
- Unlimited URLs per Domain
- Accepts U.S. and International Notices
- Works for Personal and Corporate Notices
- Automatically Gathers and Validates Needed Information
- Low Cost of $50 Per Domain
- Secured Payment via Credit Card or PayPal
Behind the scenes, we will receive the form, double-check the information and re-evaluate if a DMCA notice is appropriate. If it isn’t, we will refund your money through the means it was received. However, this form is set up to minimize those cases through the questions it asks.
I have experience working with hundreds of hosts and having sent thousands of DMCA notices. My promise is that I will never jeopardize you (or myself) by filing a questionable notice. Not only have I been blogging here at Plagiarism Today for nearly ten years, but I’ve been fighting plagiarists and infringers of my work for five years prior to that.
Also, for those who need infringing material removed but wish to do it themselves, I continue to offer my full “Stop Internet Plagiarism” guide that walks through all of the steps from finding content misuse to filing the actual notice.
Please bear in mind that this form is not intended for people with ongoing needs. If you have ongoing needs, I offer recurring contracts that can save both time and money. If that describes you, please contact me at CopyByte and I will see how I can help you out.
On that note, if you have any questions or problems with the DMCA form, feel free to contact me and let me know. Though we thoroughly tested this form, I fully expect a few additional bugs.
Thank you for your support and I look forward to helping you!
