Copyright 2.0 Show – Episode 286 – Try Harder Twiharder

twiharder-logoIt is Friday again and that means that it is time for another episode of the Copyright 2.0 Show.

It’s something of an opposite day for the Copyright 2.0 Show. Not only do we have news that The Pirate Bay used its logs to possibly root out unethical actions by a copyright holder and Kim Dotcom getting some of his stuff back but we also have the creators of a parody suing the originators over copyright issues.

But it’s not all topsy turvy world this week. CBS kept the balance by suing a YouTuber and Velvet Underground settled their case with the Andy Warhol Foundation. But then again you have the MPAA joining forced with the Federation of the Blind to support greater access to copyrighted works for the visually impaired. So we’re back to opposite land again.

In short, this is one crazy week that you do not want to miss!

This week’s stories include:

  • Kim Dotcom Wins Access to Evidence Seized in Raid
  • Pirate Bay Logs Allegedly Expose Prenda Honeypot
  • CBS Sues YouTuber Over “Judge Judy” Videos
  • MPAA to Fight For Increased Access for the Blind
  • Velvet Underground Settles Dispute with Any Warhol Foundation
  • Computer Scientists Side with Google Against Oracle
  • Twilight Parody Makers Sue Lionsgate for $500 Mllion
