Copyright 2.0 Show – Episode 246 – UK Return

UK Flag ImageIt is Friday Monday again and that means that it is time for another episode of the Copyright 2.0 Show.

I am now back from my trip to the UK and after attending both the 5th International Plagiarism Conference and seeing some of the neighboring sites, I’m slowly starting to settle back into my routine of copyright, plagiarism and related news.

However, after missing nearly two weeks’ worth of news, there was a LOT to get caught up this time around. Not only do we have a spate of decisions from the Canadian Supreme Court, but two copyright-related stories from the campaign trail in the U.S. and updates on the Megaupload case in New Zealand.

We even have a bonus story involving Jack Daniels and a “friendly” cease and desist letter.

All in all, this is one (long) show that you do not want to miss so stay tuned!

This week’s stories include:

  • Canadian Supreme Court Rules 5X Against New Royalties
  • Olympic Political Ad Removed
  • Romney Has an Ad Removed Too
  • Megaupload Case Gets a New Judge
  • New Bill Resurrects Part of SOPA
  • US Six Strikes To Roll Out Gradually
  • Criagslist Sues PadMapper
  • FBI Opens Up the Anti-Piracy Warning

You can download the MP3 file here (direct download). Those interested in subscribing to the show can do so via this feed.
