Site Update: New Conference, Comment Updates & More
It’s been a busy week for this site and I’m sorry for the slow updates. But in addition to WordCamp Dallas and a new cold, I’ve been busy making changes and updates to the site.
First, however, is a big announcement. I will be speaking at ConvergeSouth 2008 in Greensboro NC. The conference, which is held this year on October 16-17.
ConvergeSouth is also a free event, open to the public. I sincerely hope to see many of you there.
In site news, I’ve made two changes to the comments section of the site. First, on a suggestion from my friend Liz Strauss, I have highlighted my replies to the comments to make it easier to follow the conversation.
Also, on all of the comments, I have added back the Gravatars now that the system is built into WordPress itself.
You can see examples of both in this comment thread.
Finally, the contact form on the site has been replaced. In addition to being much easier to use, this one also has the benefit of actually working. So feel free to send me a few test emails and let me know how you like it.
That is it for the site updates today. If I haven’t answered your letter yet or if updates seem a bit sparse, please bear with me as I am both trying to get caught up and battling a cold.
Hopefully things should be back to normal next week.
Thank you for your patience and let me know what you think of the site changes!
