Housekeeping: New Chat Feature and Skype
One of the things that I’ve been wanting to do with this site is create more interaction. To help with that, I recently obtained an invite from 3bubbles and have used their service to place live chatrooms in each of the posts.
The idea is that each post of the site has a live chatroom attached to is specifically for discussing that post. Though this site, like most, doesn’t get enough traffic to sustain a conversation on every post in its history, I am hoping that it will be useful for discussing the latest posts to the site.
My plan, right now, is to spend an hour or two in the chatroom for each new post that goes up. If anyone wishes to chat, they are more than free to stop by.
In addition to the chatrooms, I’ve also added my Skype information to the contact page. Though my access to Skype’s calling features will depend on which Internet connection I’m using at the time, it’s the protocol on which I am available the most. If anyone wishes to add me to their Skype, I encourage them to do so.
My hope is that, someday soon, we can schedule a Skype chat that everyone can participate in. However, before that is possible, I need to know what days would work best for everyone else out there.
So please, if you have a moment and are interested, take the time to either post a comment or send me an email to let me know.
Thank you very much for your help. I hope you all enjoy the new features and that I get to speak with you soon.
