Copyright 2.0 Show – Episode 328 – Our Man Flint

Our Man Flint PosterIt is Friday again and that means that it is time for another episode of the Copyright 2.0 Show.

It was a busy week for copyright news as we start off the show with a bombshell appeals court ruling against Prenda Law, one that could change or even end the “copyright trolling” system of lawsuits. We also have news that the “To Kill a Mockingbird” lawsuit has come back from the dead (or at least the settlement) and Univeral Music is hitting back hard against a major royalty dispute.

But that isn’t all. We have the tale of Torrentz.eu and the seized/unseized domwin, Spike Lee now facing a court case over posters for the movie “Oldboy” and we make an aside into James Bond and the lesser-known spy that made a name for himself parodying the formula.

All of that and much more on this, Episode 328 of the Copyright 2.0 Show!

This week’s stories include:

  • Prenda Law Loses Key Appeal, Undermines Entire Operation
  • Harper Lee Reignites “To Kill a Mockingbird” Lawsuit after Settlement Falls Through
  • Universal Music Hits Back Against Class Action Royalty Suit
  • Torrentz.eu Has Domain Seized and Returned
  • Spike Lee Sued Over Oldboy Posters
  • Universal Studios Wants Section 6/James Bond Lawsuit Tossed
  • MPA Wins $2.2 million judgment in Newzbin Dispute
