Copyright 2.0 Show – Eps 272 – General Zod Esq.

General Zod ImageIt is Friday again and that means that it is time for another episode of the Copyright 2.0 Show.

It is a very special episode of the Copyright 2.0 Show as we have a guest host joining Patrick and I. Our good friend Kevin Dees joins us from his home (where Patrick is visiting) and he gets to add his own particular insight into the copyright and other issues we’re discussing.

And it was a busy week with a lot of superhero-themed stories. Not only do we learn that the Batmobile is a character unto itself, but we learn of something besides Kryptonite that can kill Superman. We also get the latest on the LexisNexis lawsuit and still more on the Newzbin2 case.

All that and more on this episode of the Copyright 2.0 Show!

This week’s stories include:

  • Batmobile Ruled a Character, Imitations Ruled Infringements
  • Lawsuit Against LexisNexis, Westlaw Tossed, Awaiting Reasoning
  • More Countries May Seek Settlements with Google Over Google News
  • Australia Rules Internet Streaming Not Covered By Broadcast Licenses
  • Movie Studios Not Eligible to Earn Newzbin2 Profits
  • Lawyer for Superman Heirs Wants Case Dropped
  • Warner Brothers Defends Accusations it Abused DMCA Takedown Tool

You can download the MP3 file here (1:06:50 – direct download). Those interested in subscribing to the show can do so via this feed.
