I am not a lawyer. I stress that on my site and it bears repeating again here. I am not a lawyer and do not provide legal advice. If you have a question that requires one, you’d be wise to seek out a good intellectual property attorney and ask him or her.
However, some times, a lawyer isn’t the best person to call. Though lawyers are very good at what they do, I consult many myself, sometimes more practical “in the trenches” experience is needed.
That’s where I come in.
Experience
I am first and foremost an author and a Webmaster. I never chose to become a plagiarism expert, but rather, was forced into it when thieves began stealing my content, including poetry, stories, articles, essays and even biographical information, and posting it as their own.
Since that first foray into the world of online plagiarism several years ago, I have racked up a series of accomplishments that have made me one of the Web’s top plagiarism experts including:

Naturally, you probably have some questions about this service and what I can do for you, your company and your site. Here are some of the more common ones:
Q. Exactly how effective is your system?
A. No plagiarism system is 100% effective. As long as content can be copied and pasted freely on the Web, there will always be people who steal and, as long as the Web is an international community, some who do will be out of your reach. With that in mind, over the years I’ve honed my methods and my system has an effectiveness of approximately 95%. That includes international cases and other difficult incidents others find impossible to stop.
Q. Isn’t this the same thing you teach for free on Plagiarism Today?
A. Absolutely. I believe in this system strongly and feel that it’s too important to keep from Webmasters, regardless of their ability to pay. I dedicate many hours to giving away my secrets for free.
However, in discussing the system on PT, I rarely go into specifics. There are so many different kinds of Webmasters and content creators visiting PT that it’s impossible to offer much advice specific to a person or a situation. Instead, I offer the tools and rely on Webmasters to determine how they can best work for them.
With this service, you get a dedicated, experienced individual working hard to apply the tools mentioned above to YOUR site and YOUR situation. This can be as hands on as you like, including setting up many of the alerts, software and even helping with search/cessation activities, to simply being a plagiaris advisor and writing reports or making specific, pointed recommendations.
To make a long story short, while I am more than happy to offer the tools for free, applying them to a specific site or company is a labor-intensive and time-consuming task that is not practical to offer for free. That is where this consulting service comes in.
Q. Are you still going to help Webmasters for free?
A. Of course. As I said before I will gladly help Webmasters and copyright holders with a specific plagiarism question or problem at no charge. Those matters rarely require a great deal of time and attention and it is my pleasure to help copyright holders protect their rights for free whenever it is feasible.
I am also glad to consult with makers of anti-plagiarism products in any way that I can. I see the technology as necessary to waging the war on plagiarism and am glad to help at little or no cost.
Q. What services do you not provide?
As I said before, I am not a lawyer and can not give out legal advice. I can not and will not advise as to whether or not legal action should be taken against a plagiarist. I specialize in plagiarism prevention, detection and cessation. Though I am very well versed in copyright law, I can not provide advice for legal cases. If you are considering filing suit against a plagiarist or are being sued for copyright infringement, you should consult an attorney. If you want to stop plagiarism on line without going through the legal system, I am more than happy to help.
Also, if there are cases involving complicated legal questions, such as fair use, I may not be able to provide advice.
Q. How can your services help me, my site or my company?
