It has been one of the busiest weeks for copyright news, making this one linkroll you do not want to miss!

It was a crazy week for copyright news and that has made it a rough week for me to keep pace. I’ve had to literally cut over half of the stories just to have a show note list short enough for the Copyright 2.0 Show.

We have news about ISP filtering from all over the world, tons of music-related news as the RIAA goes on the offense in the courtroom, a pair of sad DRM stories and one of the most ironic plagiarism stories ever covered on this site.

Remember, as usual, this week’s linkroll is a “raw” link list. Some stories are duplicated, some do not point to their original sources and some may not be accurate. A great deal of refining goes into producing the show notes for the Copyright 2.0 Show (this time more than usual).

It has been a crazy week for copyright news and a good one if you are a self proclaimed pirate. Legal rulings and legislation both in the U.S. and Europe are promising to say the least.

It has been a hectic week for copyright law and a very good week for the pirates with news both domestic and abroad favoring file sharers both in and out of the courts.

First, we have an important ruling in an RIAA lawsuit, pirates getting funding in Sweden, Oink downloaders getting sentenced to community service and much more. In strange copyright news, we have a potentially infringing game for the iPhone, an update on the Colbert remix “challenge” and perhaps the strangest, and saddest, use of DRM ever.

Remember, as usual, this week’s linkroll is a “raw” link list. Some stories are duplicated, some do not point to their original sources and some may not be accurate. A great deal of refining goes into producing the show notes for the Copyright 2.0 Show.

It has been a hectic week for copyright news. With the new year has come some renewed pushes on the legislation front, both here and abroad, as well as some new setbacks for the RIAA and MGA...

Though it hasn’t been our busiest week in terms of story count, one look at the stories you can see there were some major happenings.

First, we have a series of controversial proposals in the UK and Europe, plans for copyright reform here in the U.S., a setback for the RIAA and change in tactics for YouTube when it comes to takedowns.

Remember, as usual, this week’s linkroll is a “raw” link list. Some stories are duplicated, some do not point to their original sources and some may not be accurate.
First, we have one of the biggest DRM stories in history, a lawsuit and makeup between Power.com and Facebook, an update to the Bratz case and a humorous project to build “Pirate Prisons” and much more.

Remember, as usual, this week’s linkroll is a “raw” link list. Some stories are duplicated, some do not point to their original sources and some may not be accurate.
It was a slow week for copyright news but an important one nonetheless, with historical and culturally important works entering the public domain and a new lawsuit that can have a major impact on the Web.

It was easily the slowest week of the year for copyright news, mostly thanks to the holidays, but definitely one of the most important. This is a week you don’t want to miss.

First, we have a potentially important copyright lawsuit to start out the new year, a couple of major icons slipping into the public domain and a lawsuit that is bound to shake up the hip hop world.

Remember, as usual, this week’s linkroll is a “raw” link list. Some stories are duplicated, some do not point to their original sources and some may not be accurate.
The holidays did not keep the copyright news from rushing in, so to recap this week in copyright news, here are the links to read.

The holidays did not bring with it a slowdown in copyright news, if anything it only brought more as judges and lawyers rushed to wrap up their business before going on break.

First, we have a major announcement from the RIAA regarding their lawsuit campaign, a lawsuit against the New York Times for deep linking, USA Today getting in a copyright tiff with Digg and much more.

Remember, as usual, this week’s linkroll is a “raw” link list. Some stories are duplicated, some do not point to their original sources and some may not be accurate.
It was another wild week for copyright news and though one important story missed the deadline, we have plenty of tales to tell as we head into the end of the year.

It was a crazy week for copyright news but this week’s linkroll actually misses one of the most important stories of the Week, the RIAA announcement that it would stop its mass lawsuit strategy. This story, unfortunately, came out after this linkroll had to be compiled due to an early recording of the Podcast, so it will be covered in greater depth next week.

But even without that story we have a busy week of copyright news including a possible copyright extension in the UK, a challeged RIAA lawsuit (irony be thy name) and even a claim of copyright over the Taj Mahal.

Remember, as usual, this week’s linkroll is a “raw” link list. Some stories are duplicated, some do not point to their original sources and some may not be accurate. A great deal of refining goes into producing the show notes for the Copyright 2.0 Show.

Taj Mahal Picture is From Dhirad and is Licensed under a Creative Commons License.

It was another light week for copyright news but we still have some big ones including a quick resolution to the Tyler Perry case and a war of words on the Coldplay "plagiarism" lawsuit.

With the holidays, limited court dates and vacationing PR staffs, the pipeline of copyright news has slowed to a trickle. Still, it doesn’t mean we can stop paying attention as there are several important stories going on.

First, we have a quick resolution to the Tyler Perry lawsuit, a major PR blow to the RIAA and updates to the Coldplay controversy that is still going strong.

Remember, as usual, this week’s linkroll is a “raw” link list. Some stories are duplicated, some do not point to their original sources and some may not be accurate. A great deal of refining goes into producing the show notes for the Copyright 2.0 Show.

It has been a busy week for copyright news with the President-Elect making some copyright news of his own, the Bratz case taking a stern twist and Coldplay being associated with plagiarism yet again.

It was a crazy week for copyright news and one that ended up driving an inordinately high amount of traffic to this site.

First, we have a presidential matter as Obama’s transition site gets a Creative Commons License, we have a drastic step taken in the Bratz case and, in the case that launched a thousand ships to this site, another Coldplay plagiarism case.

Remember, as usual, this week’s linkroll is a “raw” link list. Some stories are duplicated, some do not point to their original sources and some may not be accurate. A great deal of refining goes into producing the show notes for the Copyright 2.0 Show.

It was a slow week for copyright news but an important one nonetheless. With some of the strangest copyright stories and the conclusion to one of the Web's biggest cases.

It has been a very slow week for copyright news with only about a dozen stories to go over this week. However, that doesn’t make this any less of an important week.

First, we have a conclusion to one of the biggest ongoing stories, the SCO/Novell lawsuit, several international copyright matters and what is easily one of the strangest copyright stories ever covered on this site.

Remember, as usual, this week’s linkroll is a “raw” link list. Some stories are duplicated, some do not point to their original sources and some may not be accurate. A great deal of refining goes into producing the show notes for the Copyright 2.0 Show.
