Copyright 2.0 Show – Episode 281 – Risk Campions

Risk Game BoxIt is Friday again and that means that it is time for another episode of the Copyright 2.0 Show.

It’s been a doozy of a week for copyright news this go around. Not only is the House Judiciary Committee looking into the possibility of a complete redraft of copyright law, but The Pirate Bay gains +4 armies in Risk for its strategy of invading one country at a time.

We also have an interesting result in the Craigslist/PadMapper case and news that the Pirate Party has had their most successful election yet. All of that plus news on Belgian ISPs and China sending off a warning shot to app store owners of all types.

All in all, this is one episode you do not want to miss.

This week’s stories include:

  • House Judiciary Committee to Hold Hearings on Copyright Law
  • Craigslist Wins Early but Important Victory Against PadMapper, 3Taps
  • Pirate Party Wins Seats in Icelandic Parliament
  • Belgian ISPs Sued for Not Paying Copyright Levies
  • The Pirate Bay Moves Domains Again
  • Chinese Court Fines Apple Over App Store Infringement
  • Game Developers Teach an Interesting Lesson About Piracy
