Copyright 2.0 Show – Episode 263 – Google Tax

Jonathan Bailey and Bob Goodlatte

It is Friday again and that means that it is time for another episode of the Copyright 2.0 Show.

There’s drama on the Copyright 2.0 Show this week as we find out that Patrick got his first troll comment on his new Soda Tasting site. It’s a tough situation and it’s unfortunate that there’s not a book or a blog on the subject that could help guide him.

However, Patrick may have found solace in a new love: Photoshop. As he finds (or rather creates) evidence that I’m a close cohort of Representative Bob Goodlatte (see above).

But that’s not all of the copyright news this week as we look at the EU’s plan to modernize and streamline it’s copyright system, another delay in the “six strikes” system in the US and 02 being forced to hand over customer information in an Australian porn piracy case.

All of that and much more on this week’s edition of the Copyright 2.0 Show!

This week’s stories include:

  • EU Plans to Modernize and Streamline Copyright
  • Copyright Alert System in the US Delayed
  • O2 Hands Over 1,000 Customers’ Information
  • Italy Orders Blockade of 2 Torrent Sites
  • “Google Tax” Comes Closer to Reality in Germany
  • Rep. Bob Goodlatte to replace Rep. Lamar Smith in House Judiciary
  • Rogue DRM Attacks Paying Customers, Vandalizes Game Projects
