Video: Interview on Vaughn Ward Plagiarism Scandal

Last week I gave an interview via satellite with Boise TV station KTVB (Note: I had mistakenly said on Twitter it was KBOI) about the Vaughn Ward plagiarism scandal. The interview was part of a larger special on plagiarism in politics and the scandal itself.

To recap what had happened, Ward was, at the time, a Republican candidate in the Senate primary. He was accused of plagiarizing President Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention in 2004. The accusations were originally made by a Republican blogger, Lucas Baumbach, who was also seeking a State Senate seat.

Ward lost the primary and is now out of the election completely.

You can view the original YouTube video here.

The interview is embedded below, you can view other segments from the special here.

Thanks! Glad you liked the video!

Gremlins eh? Usually they just work for my wife to make her right all the time but they might be pulling extra shifts...

Okay-maybe it was a lack of caffeine-now I have the embedded video onscreen-I have no idea why it wasn't showing up before. Gremlins? In any event, thanks, Jonathan, and nice job!

I'm not having any problems viewing it at any of the links you've listed. The embed here is also working fine for me.Anyway, just came by to toot your horn again...Awesome job! :)

Cathy, You can actually view the video on their site here: http://www.ktvb.com/video?id=96700014&sec=550847It works well for me but the embed loads up here as well. It might be an issue with Flash player perhaps? Sorry it's not working!

Oops-posted before finishing. There's nothing embedded (that I can find). Sorry I missed it-I live in Boise and am a freelance writer who has used you as a reference on my blog. I would love to hear the interview.

Can't find your interview.

Thanks! Glad you liked the video!
