Good points all around. Bottom line, use the appropriate search engine, whatever it may be.

I have found that if you're dealing with students from other countries, you need to use Baidu.com (for China) or say Nate.com (for Korea), etc. In China there are sites where students can post their assignment and then others upload content. Then the one with the best response gets points. So international students may use other websites and Google's not likely to find the source.

Nice article. For teachers, Google won't tell you when a work was outsourced. There are tons of academic assignments being hired out on the web. Especially from students for whom English is a second language. So this is another form of plagiarism Google can't recognize. (The problem with Google is that it doesn't qualify or fact-check its information, or substitute for knowledge).

As a copywriter, if someone posted an article or sample of mine without paying, I would complain to their ISP that they are publishing in violation of copyright, and see if that shakes their cage.

Excellent info. I have often run across people that steal my content. The problem is, I email these people and some will remove the content, others I have to fight with before they remove it, and still others just simply refuse to even respond.

Just last month I had a lady tell me when would get right on the problem. Did she? No. The content is still there, as was, and she now won't even respond to my emails. Frustrating!
