Jonathan--not sure if you want to cover this as a 3 Count topic, or as a separate article. The Copyright Office has proposed a number of changes to the registration process for online-only works, including changes to the mandatory deposit rules, the definition of "complete copy," and the definition of "best edition." There is a public comment period that ends October 11, 2009 and I would urge everyone to take advantage of that. This will have a huge impact on copyright procedure for bloggers, online-only newspapers, and online publishers and re-publishers. I have a link to the Copyright Office announcement, and a copy of the proposed regulations, on my blog Arborlaw.Carol Shepherd, AttorneyArborlaw PLC
