I liked that the RIAA President said lawsuits were their least favorite choice, and how legal music had improved, and more people were using it.

I'm pleased to have my stuff available so easily so many ways, that I can see tracking numbers (important to get sponsors/patrons) and the all you can eat plans.... sadly I think these things happened because of the piracy, which will continue for popular groups -- with proxy, tor, and other things hiding what people are downloading, and damaging people who are downloading legit and large ISOs, etc.

90% punished for the sins of 10%

The RIAA actually addressed this one. They said that there were still some lawsuits being filed because they were "in the pipe" before the shift away was done. In short, they're saying it takes many months to go from initial accusation to a lawsuit so they are cleaning out the last lawsuits.

How true that is, we'll see in about four more months...

If it isn't true, I'll take my lumps then :)
