physical products like cars, TV's etc. we are not going to see any step forward in this battle.Even then
they will try to do it but it is ours to go after them backed up by law.Should we wait till this happen?
Absolutely not.Fight at current time against this kind of theft and exposure in media will speed up
process of passing law which equals intellectual property theft with "regular" theft.Sam Begic

Proof that no amount of spell checking can save you from the pressures of deadlines and your own stupidity.Regarding your case though, I have a lot of questions for you about it but really can't discuss it here as I don't want to risk giving any spammers or junk content link. If you want, email me some of the URLs involved and I'll see what I can do. Only one page was stolen from my work. The rest were stolen from other people. I can't remember how many different hosts are involved. 10? However, try to have some hope, help is on the way. However, you are right that, without hosts getting serious about these issues, not much is going to change. Of course, if the search engines got more serious about it, the whole issue would be moot anyway, no point in scraping if it won't work.Sometimes it can feel like you're the only one who cares. So yeah, I understand the venting.Let me know if I can help.

Will: I’m sorry to hear about your frustrations but I definitely understand. I know I find my stuff scraped whenever I look, so I stopped looking. It is just too frustrating and time consuming. The thieves are just overrunning the fort!If I get a ping or trackback that leads me to a scraper, I will take the time to delete the pooing and try to find out the host of the scraper. I then will email the abuse department at the host. Once or twice, they took action after checking out the site. The usual response is to demand a full DMCA, and that is where I stop making the effort.I don't have enough time to deal with the issue, especially since I make virtually no money from my site. People who make an income from their sites and take the time needed to deal with scrapers are probably using up more time and effort than it is worth. It would be great to have more automated tools available, but until the hosts get serious about the obvious scrapers, nothing will stop them. There is also the point that one host made after I contacted them which was something like this: "Well yes the site has your entire blog post, but we see no monetization of their site, and they link back to you at the end of the stolen content. Legally there is nothing we can do."Sorry to vent, but it does get frustrating.

I think your one point about the “time sink” encompasses 90% of the frustrated bloggers.
