Genevieve,

First off, thank you very much for letting me know you enjoy the site and for your good wishes in the New Year! It should be very exciting.

My hatred for the no right click script goes very far back. Years ago, before I ran PT, I had a friend that set up one of those annoying Geocities pages. He asked permission to use some of my writing on it and I gave him the go ahead.

I visited the site a few days later and found out that he was using a no right click script. I asked him about it and he said that he didn't want anyone taking his or my work. Noble, to be sure, but I told him that it was making it hard for me to use his site and that it was easily defeated.

This friend, in turn, assured me that THIS script could not be beaten. Frustrated, I fired up my site downloader, which I was using at that time to backup my own sites, saved his to my computer and emailed him a zip file with the contents.

The script disappeared in 24 hours but he never brought up the subject again.

Anyway, thank you again for your kind wishes!

I have been reading your blog with great interest for a month or two by Bloglines subscription. I enjoy it, and I appreciate your efforts. I totally agree with you about the no-right-click. It's very irritating, and anyone can access the material by viewing the source to find the file names or by saving the complete page. Best wishes for the New Year.
