[...] There’s a great debate on the subject at Plagiarism Today. Paul Stamatiou also mentioned partial content in RSS feeds and it resulted in a lot of comments. Check out these resources, and form your own opinions - but I just don’t think it’s worth it. [...]

Tammy,

Have you considered posting a note on the Wordpress support site and asking for help? You can go here to do that: http://wordpress.org/support/

The people there would be FAR better able to help you than I. I searched for your question there and didn't find anything directly applicable. Post your question there and let them know the situation. I do indeed use the tag, though I use the Blog Editor BlogDesk rather than doing it by hand.

Billy,

I'm glad that you enjoyed the article and thank you for the link back. I really enjoyed your article and I felt that it was a valid point while keeping very level-headed the reason I chose it.

I'm glad that you were able to talk about the need to be careful with RSS without blaming the victim, something that is getting more common.

It will be very interesting to see how this RSS dialog shapes up as both RSS use and theft continue to grow.

Jonathan,
For starters: thanks for the link.

And more importantly, thanks for the best written, most thought out article to date on the long/short debate. You made both sides very clear and remained entirely fair and balanced.

Finally, because my next post is regarding this very subject I'll be pointing to this article for reference.

Again Thanks. -Billy

Thanks, JB - All those things have been done already, unfortunately, and the feed still truncates (even rss2) when I use the more tag. Sigh, sigh, sigh. It sounds like you're using the more tag and still able to syndicate full text, so that's helpful info to me. I appreciate your reply!
