All I have to do is upload my images and decide what options I want like disabling printing or screencapture or saving, and then paste the applet tag where I'd have the image tag. The method allows me to have personalized menus too (better than disabling right click and annoying visitors I just have a custom menu for each photo like how much it costs to order or my email or copyright). But I don't have to do any fancy CSS stuff or paste together different segments or install software to make it all work so it's pretty simple and even gives me a lot of control and new options.

Sticking to the applet theme I’d suggest using <a

If used in conjunction with miva or re-direct for file locations it by-passes the standard "look at the code" method of tracing the file origin, but does not fully eliminate the screen-capture method. It also does not ensure that the cached image is altered so anyone can goto their IE cache (if they know where to look) and get the file from that location without having to save the entire page to their hard drive.Another option is applets that blank the screen when a screen image is attempted to be taken. This, however, does not always work if you try to use IE to print to..... and choose another program to save it to such as Adobe PDF.Anyhoo, I just wanted to send along the added information to mull over.TAB

I wanted to point out another possibility to you that I don’t recall you mentioning – mouseover.

This is where the picture will change to a different image when the mouse is brought over the image itself, therefore rendering the right-click “save as” option ineffective.
